11:34 am: credit....ugh
Transunion reporting agency, and equifax reproting say that I took our a mortgage loan in 2002 for a large sum of money, then never paid it...ummm, I have never taken out a mortgage loan, and I was in college during that time...WTF?!?!?!?!? they won't let me into my account to dispute that because I have to answer questions about an accout I don't even know about! All of the banks on there are in New York or that area, and I know for a fact that there is a Jeremy M McGehee or Geremy M McGehee-which are the names that I report says I use-umm, I only use ONE of them! I know for a fact that some guy named Jeremy McGehee with damn near the same social as me-one digit difference- lives in New York.
Yes, my credit is bad, and most of it is my doing, because I was too immature to hold a credit card-much less 3 of them, but a mortgage???? WTF would I need one of those for?

10:53 am: better mood
Well I AM in a better mood today. I had a visit from some good friends last night. They brought me a great cake with little medieval toys on top...it was cool. It was nice to celebrate something where people were actually happy to be there. besides it is only 13 hours left till my birthday. I WILL NOT let someone spoil it for me.
We are going to Memphis today to hang out with Jack and Jenn and get away from the house for a bit...away from Arkansas...away from problems.

03:32 pm: ahhhh...
well, my job sucks, I hate most of the people I work with, and I am one of two people that has to do absolutely everything...but on a lighter note, I should have a new job very soon. a good job...one that pays well...one that pays for the work I do...One that I cna feel good about...and one that doesn't deal with the public...only one problem...It is going to consist of going between that 90+ degree weather of arkansas to almost-immediate -20 degree temps of that freezer...FUN.
I just remember to drink PLENTY of water and keep in mind that major jumps in temp can be bad...so if I begin to feel queezy, inform someone IMMEDIATELY. we don't need any forklift accidents.

Oh, off the job news briefly, I found a really neat website...

12:57 pm: New favorite songwriter...
Whoever Mikal the Ram may be, I love his work...Very nice pieces.

Chorus:
Gather ye pipers and long chanters blow
Fetch drum and the tabor, and play a march slow
I raise my cup
And pledge drink to thee
I raise now my cup towards the dark sea

To these northern island, the Hebrides high
Where oft landed longships, beneath the grey sky
Come blow the great horn
Maids come to the shore
They blow the great horn but the ship comes no more

Chorus

I drink to ye Ian, who sailed with the tide
And young brother Jamie, the sea steed to ride
And Eric for gold
And Sean his keep
They sailed for the gold, but beneath waves they sleep

I sit by the fire, lost and alone
Four empty places, and one who stayed home
I drink to my kin
Who walked Njord's road
I drink to my kin who'll drink here no more

Gather ye pipers and long chanters blow
Fetch drum and the tabor, and play a march slow
I raise my cup
And pledge drink to ye
A cup of our blood to quench the dark sea

I really like this one...

on a more realistic note, Still looking for a job, and of course a DL would greatly help...
I unfortunately don't have much to update on, though Glaass etching is going well...Zanna doodled on three jars that we bought for $1 each, and sold them for $20/each. People are gettign interested in the photo-type etch9ings we are doing, but nothing selling quality. I want to start goblets, stuff to sell in the SCA, unique items and such.

01:03 pm: hmmm, where to begin
Well, let's see, Our van has pretty much officially died, but on a good note, a friend told me that we can probably get around $500 for scrap at a junkyard, so that can go to a new vehicle. I need to get my DL re-instated, since The suspended it when I was charged with failure to appear. It makes sense, but at the same time, it's kinda stupid. it makes sense, because with a suspended liscense, they can slam that on the charge, making it around $200-$300 more for the fines. But at the same time, Suspending the DL does nothing for them in the "catching the slacker." I know of no way for a cop to know just by looking at a car that the driver has no DL.
It's going to cost me like $100 to get my liscense re-instated. Then I need to find a vehicle, and will most likely soon have to find a new home. Life is shit right now...
Though I have found some interesting rental properties withing 30mi of where we currently live...

these are fairly new apartments, I delivered appliances to some of these. they are nicer than what we have, that's for sure.

A little bit better news came this morning from Yarnell's Ice Cream. They have multiple job openings in W.Memphis, Memphis and the area. starting pay is $2200-$2700/mo. ($13.75+/hr)

Not bad. that phone interview went really well, now he is passing my info on to his boss (the guy that actually does the hiring). He said he liked what he was hearing, I have worked for Frito-Lay, and I have done some local delivery in an industrial-type commercial vehicle, add that to retail experience, experience with stocking in grocery stores, not a bad background for gettign a job with Yarnells. They also have good benefits...A friend of mine works for Yarnells back home...he gets free Ice Cream...and commissions...helath...dental...paid vacations. . . hmmmmmmm, sounds good...better than the last one...then again, there's that refrigerator on the back of the bob-truck that I would be driving...and you do have to go inside...and they are VERY COLD in the winter...but if you aren't careful, can make you sick in the summer. It would be a repetitive job, but different...
looking for new-to-me vehicle. checking listings near my folks, they could pick it up and bring it to us...or we could meet them in Pine Bluff....ideas.....

05:57 am: exhausted
Well, work is work, and it is a job...but, it is also very tiring...Dragonpurr will hopefully get to cook on an AGA range, if Elmer (my supervisor) finally approves. His boss has said it is ok, and he would love for her to cook there, but Elmer is the one who I see every day, so...
In the meantime, I do enjoy working there, and nothing can beat sitting in a truck all day.
We are also looking for a place to rent in the area around work...anything closer than West Memphis, and something that will put Ian in better school next year...Preferrably in county scools. WE did find something, but we're going to need help getting it finalized, and the guy is willing to do that. an Old couple is moving into a smaller house, something they can afford, and is giving up their big house outside of Arlington TN, the monthly payments are supposed...SUPPOSED to be @ $200/mo, so hopefully...keeping fingers crossed...

05:31 pm: work
hmmm, well,
I got the job!!!!
I've been there a week. I had a chance to deliver some items to Millington, close to where kali lives, bt the other driver took it instead, thus leaving me to go all the way down to Olive Branch, then bck up to G-town, before hitting all the warehouses...
Good news as foar as the job is concerned, yes I have it, I get paid weekly. It's salary, bt hey, better than no check at all.

I also get 5% above cost on anything in the store, so if we ever need anything...

11:56 am: GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim, our Seneschall (thinks I spelled it right.....) has informed me that his brother wants me to come in sometime tomorrow and fill out the DMV report so he can check my driving background, and get all the formalities out of the way...that way when he gets the authorization to hire me, he doesn't have to worry about a whole lot of paperwork....

I also have a part time position at KAY Furniture here in West Memphis, am going to do the paperwork this afternoon...

things looking up....

Lord of the Dance (Pagan version)

When she danced on the water and the wind was her horn,
The Lady laughed and everything was born.
And when she lit the sun and the light gave him birth
The Lord of the Dance first appeared on the earth.

Chorus:
Dance, dance, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be
And I lead you all in the dance, said he.

I dance in the circle when the flames leap up high;
I dance in the fire and I never, ever die.
I dance in the waves of the bright summer sea,
For I am the Lord of the waves' mystery.

Chorus

I sleep in the kernel and I dance in the rain.
I dance in the wind and through the waving grain,
And when you cut me down I care nothing for the pain,
In the Spring I'm the Lord of the Dance once again.

Chorus

I dance at the Sabbat when you dance out the spell,
I dance and sing that everyone be well,
And when the dancing's over do not think that I am gone
To live is to dance, so I dance on and on.

Chorus

The horn of the Lady cast it's sound cross the plain
The birds took the notes and gave them back again
'Till the sound of her music was a song in the sky,
And to that song there is one reply.

Chorus

The moon in her phases and the tides of the sea
The movement of the earth and the seasons that will be
Are the rhythm for the dancing and a promise through the years
That the Dance goes on through our joy and tears.

Chorus

They danced in the darkness and they danced in the night,
They danced on the earth and everything was light.
They danced out the darkness and they danced in the dawn
And the day of their dancing still goes on and on.

Chorus

I gaze on the heavens and I gaze on the earth,
And I feel the pain of dying and rebirth,
And I lift my head in gladness and in praise for the day
Of the Dance of the Lord and the Lady gay.

Chorus

_____________

The Lord of the Dance (Christian version)
Sidney Carter

I danced on the morning when the world was begun,
I danced on the moon and the stars and the sun
I came down from Heaven and I danced on the earth
At Bethlehem I had my birth

Chorus:
Dance, then, wherever you may be
For I am the Lord of the Dance said he
I live in you, if you live in me,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance said He.

I danced for the scribe and the Pharisee,
But they would not dance and they would not follow me;
I danced for the fishermen, for James and John
They came with me and the Dance went on.

I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame;
The holy people said it was a shame.
They whipped and they stripped and they hung me on high
And left me there on the cross to die

I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black
It's hard to dance with the Devil on your back
They buried my body and they thought I'd gone
But I am the Dance and I still go on.

They cut me down and I leapt up high:
I am the life that will never, never die.
I'll live in you if you live in me
I am the Lord of the Dance said he.

After the cinematic adventures of the original Star Wars trilogy ended in 1983, audiences were still eager to visit the far-away galaxy. They got their chance through a pair of made-for-television movies starring the furry heroes from the forest moon of Endor, the Ewoks.
Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor tell the story of young Cindel Towani (Aubree Miller), whose family has crash-landed on Endor. She is protected by the brave Ewoks from the dangers that lurk in the forests.

Vader and Troopers Cheer Raiders to Victory
September 27, 2004

This past Sunday, September 26, Darth Vader and a garrison of his finest StormTroopers and biker Scoutshelped lead the "Raider Nation" of football fans in cheering the Oakland team to a 30-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Network Associates Coliseum in Oakland, California.
Star Wars fans from the Golden Gate and Central California Garrisons of the 501st Legion took to the field in costume and mingled with the fans. Troopers handed out special Darth Vader tattoos at the gates, and many fans were seen sporting the tattoos during the game. Darth Vader oversaw the "Most Valuable Griller" competition, an Oakland pregame tradition that recognizes the best party in the lot outside the stadium.

During the game, enthusiastic stormtroopers joined the Raiderette cheerleader line. Darth Vader patrolled the stands, especially the legendary "Black Hole" -- the end zone home of costumed Raider fans. Most in the Black Hole were given Darth Vader masks before the game, and each time the Star Wars Imperial March was played they donned them in support of the Raider
